Tulsa Police arrested a couple after allegedly concealing and stealing $1,700 worth of merchandise from a department store.
Tulsa Police officers said several Kohl’s employees reported that a couple concealed merchandise in backpacks, changed into new clothes in the dressing rooms, and left without paying.
Officers watched store cameras and said it showed 39-year-old Marco Barnett and 40-year-old Carina Maldonado concealing the clothes. The couple left the store and ran to an SUV waiting outside, but when officers spoke to the driver, he did not know about the theft.
Police said Barnett admitted to the crimes and reaffirmed that the driver was not involved. Barnett and Maldonado were booked into the Tulsa County Jail on several theft charges.
