The 96.5 KRMG and Mix 102.3 Women in Business Mixer was held at Ti Amo Ristorante Italiano on Wednesday, allowing women to network and ask questions of successful businesswomen.
Featured panelists included Mary Hatheway and Cheryl Reeder, third-generation owners of Reeder’s and Reeder’s Automotive, and Edie Tolbert, executive director of Stonebrook Project. Each woman shared how she became successful and offered some of her secrets regarding social media, advertising, and funding.
“I love being around women,” said event-goer Chinh Doan. “It is very empowering, and so I get the camaraderie. Women just understand each other in a way that no one else can. And every time I go, I’m learning something, so I get a lot of value out of these events.” Doan has been to four of the Women in Business Mixers over the years and plans on going to the next one.
After hosts April Hill and Crystal Kelly opened the event, there was a panel discussion on career journeys, an interactive question-and-answer portion, and a networking mix-and-mingle session.
