Route 66 travelers will soon have a chance to take home an actual piece of the Mother Road.
Sapulpa’s Great Route 66 Giveaway will be held in cooperation with the Sapulpa Chamber of Commerce and the City.
Sapulpa Main Street will give away three authentic pieces of the Mother Road during each week of 2026.
The rocks will range in size from a child’s fist to a softball.
SMS collected these chunks of Route 66 pavement during the City of Sapulpa’s 2025 downtown revitalization project, which tore up and replaced five blocks of Dewey Street, the Mother Road’s original path through town.
Each piece comes with a certificate of authenticity.
