University of Tulsa investigating report of hazing at fraternity house on campus

TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa is investigating a report of hazing at a fraternity house on campus.

According to the University of Tulsa online crime reports, campus security officers were dispatched to the Kappa Sigma Fraternity House on March 24 to assist university officials with an investigation of a reported hazing and alcohol referral.

The report says officers confiscated alcohol, controlled drug substances, weapons and property belonging to the university. A copy of the report was forwarded to Student Affairs and Risk Management for their review.

The University of Tulsa shared the following statement:

“The University of Tulsa is investigating a report of hazing on campus. The university has clear processes in place to examine, evaluate and respond to reported incidents of inappropriate student behavior. We take this issue very seriously and have zero tolerance for hazing.”
