CLAREMORE, Okla. — Andy’s Frozen Custard opened its first store in Claremore on Wednesday.
Andy’s first store as a franchise group was opened in Tulsa in 2013.
Now, the franchise is extending into Claremore to serve the community with frozen treats.
“Claremore’s a great community, a great supportive community to our stores in the Tulsa area,” explained Eric Reed, the co-owner of Andy’s Frozen Custard in Claremore. “People have just been saying, ‘hey, come to Claremore!’ So we found this location 18 months ago or so. It’s right on Route 66, here in front of the store. What better location than that? We’ve got a lot of cars that come by and a lot of loyal customers from our stores in Tulsa.”
Wednesday’s opening was a soft opening. The store’s grand opening celebration with $2 sundaes will be held in about two months once all the new staff get the hang of things.
