One more night of severe weather ahead of a beautiful weekend

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch in effect until 9pm for Nowata, Osage  and Pawnee counties.

NWS Meteorologist Brad McGavock says rain Friday afternoon could lead to messy storms Friday night.

Large hail and damaging winds are the main concern.

FOX23 Chief Meteorologist James Aydelott is preparing for the storms to bring you the latest storm information.

“Our severe weather threat continues to increase as we roll into late afternoon and evening.”

The timing of the severe weather in Tulsa is expected sometime between 8pm and 10pm.

By Saturday morning, the rain should stop and we are looking at high in the 60s.
