TULSA, Okla. — Nathan Hale High School is celebrating the completion of its new multisport complex.
“It has a basketball practice field, a soccer practice field, and is also a safety shelter that can withstand a tornado,” said Dr. Elton Sykes, Principal of Nathan Hale High School.
The new facility was made possible by Tulsa voters supporting a Tulsa Public School bond in 2021, which invested $414 million into the district.
The complex will provide new opportunities for student-athletes providing a modern and safe space to support their development.
“Nathan Hale was built back in 1958, so it has it was needed to have new facility for us to compete with other schools. So this was really nice for our students to get a state of the art practice field.” said Sykes.
