TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department said a 19-year-old woman was injured after a suspect shot inside an occupied home from the street on Thursday morning.
Around 1:44 a.m. on Thursday, the department said they received a call reporting a disturbance at a home near East 22nd Place and South Pittsburg Avenue.
Authorities said the caller reported an unknown individual was pounding aggressively on the front door of the house.
As police were driving towards the house, authorities said the suspect shot several times into the home from the street.
Once officers arrived, they stated they found a 19-year-old woman in one of the home’s front bedrooms with a gunshot wound to her torso.
The victim was transported to the hospital and authorities reported she’s expected to survive.
Police said the four other people inside the house weren’t hit by any of the shots.
At this time, law enforcement said they don’t have a suspect in this case.
The department is asking anyone who lives in the area of East 22nd Place, South Oswego Avenue or South Pittsburg Avenue to check their home security or doorbell cameras between 1:15 a.m. and 2:15 a.m. on Thursday for anything out of the ordinary or for a vehicle that may potentially have been fleeing the scene.
