UPDATE 6/19/2026 — According to Owasso Police, Oklahoma Natural Gas says the timeline of the repair has been extended and that businesses within the Cornerstone Shopping Center will remain closed. The earliest anticipation for opening is later this afternoon.
6/18/2026 OWASSO, Okla. — The Owasso Police Department announced all businesses inside the Cornerstone Shopping Center have been closed after a gas line break was reported near an electric transformer.
Around 3:40 p.m. on Thursday, the Owasso Police Department and the Owasso Fire Department said they responded to ONG’s request for assistance after the reported gas leak was found near the back of the strip center.
Owasso Police said all entrances and exits to the shopping center are closed and all businesses will remain closed until that repair is completed.
At this time, no roads in the area are being impacted by the situation.
Authorities are asking the public to continue avoiding the shopping center until authorities have determined the area is safe.
