TULSA, Okla. — Local officials celebrated the US expansion of Manna, an Ireland-based drone delivery operator, which is opening new manufacturing and development operations in Tulsa.
On Wednesday, city and state officials, corporate leaders and other community members gathered for demonstrations of the delivery drones, which Manna says will help Tulsan businesses reach more customers.
“It is a huge asset for our state, when you’re talking about unmanned aircraft. I think that’s also part of the partnership that we have across the state of Oklahoma, because Oklahoma has always been a strong aviation and aerospace sector. It’s around a $44 billion industry right now in aerospace and aviation,” said Gov. Stitt.
Lt. Gov. Matt Pinnell spoke on welcoming international companies to Oklahoma.
“The governor and myself and our administration, we are unapologetic about welcoming international investment in the State of Oklahoma. If we’re ever gonna break down barriers, it starts with trade, it starts with investment,” said Lt. Gov. Pinnell.
