Tulsa Police kick door down, save woman from attack

After hearing screams from an apartment, Tulsa Police say they kicked in the door and saved a woman from a bloody attack.

Police said they received a call about a woman screaming in an apartment near 51st and Darlington, and when they kicked in the door, officers found a woman covered in blood. According to reports, the victim had significant cuts to her face and was having trouble seeing the officers. She also had additional injuries to her body.

Reports said they found 33-year-old Ryan Ward next to the victim, and he was acting erratically and speaking gibberish.

Police said the victim told them she was raped earlier that day, and Ward came back and forced his way into the apartment, attacking her with a broken piece of glass.

Ward was arrested for rape, kidnapping, and burglary.
