ROGERS COUNTY, Okla. — A Rogers County Detention Deputy is facing DUI charges after being found driving intoxicated with a loaded gun, per the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said Kain Barret was stopped around 3 a.m. Saturday after reports of a possibly intoxicated driver headed north on Highway 66.
Authorities said Barret is a reserve deputy and a detention deputy at the Amos G. Ward Detention Center.
Barret was arrested for driving under the influence and transporting a loaded firearm under the influence. He was placed on administrative leave as the sheriff’s office conducts an internal investigation.
The case will also be sent to the Rogers County District Attorney’s Office.
