OKTAHA, Okla. — Oktaha Public Schools canceled all classes for Aug. 25 following an online threat.
According to the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of threats made through a Snapchat group.
Investigators said possible threats included gun violence.
The threats are still under investigation.
Officials with Oktaha Public Schools said the cancellation is out of an abundance of caution.
MCSO is asking the community to avoid spreading unverified information. Anyone with information regarding the threats is encouraged to contact the sheriff’s office.
