TULSA COUNTY, Okla. — The burn ban for Tulsa County has been extended by Tulsa County Commissioners.

The commissioners made that decision at their morning meeting on Monday after they say they heard from area fire officials, who told that the extreme fire danger continues.

As of now, the ban will run through September 21st.

The ban applies to outdoor burning but does have an exception for gas or electric grills on a non-flammable surface.

Many surrounding counties also have burn bans in place, including Wagoner, Rogers, Creek, Washington, and Mayes counties.
