Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt said the city is in “very active conversations” with Buc-ee’s about opening the gas station chain’s first location in Oklahoma.
According to Holt, the Buc-ee’s would be located near I-40 and Cimarron Road in west OKC.
Holt said new infrastructure would be necessary to open the location.
On Tuesday, the Oklahoma City Council approved an agreement with ODOT and the development company that works with Buc-ee’s in connection to those needed infrastructure updates.
Mayor Holt didn’t give a timeline on when the location might open, but he said the city looks forward to the opportunity to welcome the chain to the state.
