Oasis Fresh Market has officially opened its new location in downtown Tulsa.
“Today is our ribbon cutting of Oasis Fresh Market in downtown Tulsa,” shared AJ Johnson, the founder of Oasis Fresh Market. “[It’s] the first independent owned grocery store in a downtown town metroplex in the country. We’re excited.”
The grocery store held the ribbon cutting ceremony at its new location inside the Arco apartment building at East 6th Street and South Cincinnati Avenue.
The new store brings fresh produce, meats, everyday groceries and prepared meals to a downtown neighborhood that has gone more than a decade without a full-service grocery store.
The downtown store is Oasis Fresh Market’s third location, with the first two being opened in north and south Tulsa.
Johnson shared, “Even though downtown has a lot of individuals, it is also a food desert. Our mission [is] to be a safe place shelter and bring safe and healthy access to all, no matter where you live, no matter what you look like, no matter how much money you make or don’t make. It’s about delivering safe and healthy access and serving people.”
Oasis Fresh Market is now open daily in downtown from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. offering lunch specials, a fresh food bar, prepared meals and catering for local businesses.
