U.S. Senator James Lankford was in Tulsa Wednesday, speaking at a Congressional Forum at the DoubleTree Hotel, hosted by the Tulsa Regional Chamber.
Lankford discussed Trump’s visit to Oklahoma a few weeks ago and said the president wanted to return to the state where he won all 77 counties. He was on the plane with the president and asked Trump why he visited Oklahoma.
Lankford encourages everyone to get out and vote despite what the polls show. He tells KRMG his gut tells him the Republicans will retain control of the Senate.
It’s funny to me, the polls in the last couple of weeks almost always are designed to be able to influence the election rather than tell the electorate what’s actually going to happen,” Lankford said.
Lankford also discussed the debate over Russian oil and sanctions and said we need to wean European countries off of Russian oil.
