The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for all of Green Country until 10pm Friday.
Meteorologists say storms may produce large hail up to 2 inches in diameter and damaging wind gusts up to 75 mph.
A few of the storms will likely become severe, with large hail and damaging winds being the main severe weather threats.
The storms will move south and southeast during the evening hours, likely weakening by late evening as they move across southeast Oklahoma and west central Arkansas.
More rain chances creep in Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday.
