Tulsa Mayor Monroe Nichols held a public meeting Sunday to discuss the city’s efforts to address homelessness, including the Safe Move Tulsa initiative.
The initiative is a collaboration between the city and local partners intended to assist residents facing homelessness.
Mayor Nichols emphasized the importance of honesty and engagement with the community in addressing the issue, and said he appreciated the candor of community members in attendance.
Safe Move Tulsa has already helped 120 people find housing and decommissioned six homeless encampments in Tulsa, according to reports from the city.
