The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration Society have announced that six students will be recipients of their 2026 scholarship awards.
The scholarship recognizes high school students who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to serving their community.
The organization says they awarded a total of $15,000. The recipients are:
- Collin Walters — $4,000 Servant Leader – Broken Arrow High School
- Hailey Mansard — $3,500 Change Maker- Owasso High School
- Carol Gitau — $2,500 Mountain of Hope – Jenks High School
- Imani Anderson — $2,000 – Drum Major for Justice – Jenks High School
- Emma Johnson — $1,500 – Beloved Community – Berryhill High School
- Ligali Temiloreoluwa — $1,500 – Beloved Community – Jenks High School
The organization says the scholarship was made possible through the MLK Commemoration Society Board of Directors Scholarship Fund.
