A Tulsa Pastor has pleaded guilty in an animal cruelty case that started earlier this year.

Former COO of RHEMA Bible Church, Craig Hagin, pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of disturbing the peace for improperly using a residence as a kennel that neglected several animals.

Hagin will pay fines and must complete a Benchmark Animal Rehabilitation Curriculum program, also known as “BARC”.

Tulsa County District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler expressed gratitude for the efforts of the animal welfare community in discovering and investigating cases like this. The DA also highlighted the need for a separate version of Oklahoma’s animal cruelty law to address neglect cases where cruelty and malicious intent are not present.

In June, RHEMA Bible Church removed Hagin as COO, saying his actions were inconsistent with the standards expected of those serving in ministry.
