You can now scan your Oklahoma Driver License or State ID Card into your iPhone and access it in Apple Wallet.
According to Service Oklahoma, it’s a convenient way to verify your age and identity at places like sports venues, airports and restaurants. Tulsa International Airport and Will Rogers International Airport in Oklahoma City both accept Digital ID.
Service Oklahoma said having a digital copy of your ID is safe as it is protected by on-device encryption and biometric authentication. Only necessary information is show, such as your name and age.
In order to use Digital ID, Service Oklahoma said you must be at least 18 years old, have a valid physical Oklahoma Driver License (Class D or CDL) or State ID and have a compatible device.
You can delete or temporarily deactivate your digital ID at any time and you still need to carry your physical ID, Service Oklahoma added.
Digital ID is optional and free.
