PAWNEE, Okla. — The Pawnee Police Department says it has made arrests in connection with recent “Cat in the Hat” posts on TikTok.
They stated one post specifically named Pawnee Middle School as well as included a list of students in it.
Police say a juvenile suspect has been identified and was arrested in connection with the posts. They state that threats involving schools and students will always be taken seriously.
“What may be intended as a joke, prank, or social media trend can have very real consequences.” Pawnee Police stated in a social media post.
Police say the investigation into the matter is still active.
Several Green County schools experienced posts related to threats to schools over the week that led to lockdowns and increased security.
