SAND SPRINGS — A GoFundMe was recently started for a local family after the sudden death of Juan Ledesma, the man who was killed in the Sand Springs construction accident early this week.

The GoFundMe was created to help his family cover expenses and regain some stability. On Sept. 2, Ledesma was working in a trench above a sidewalk and was crushed by a cave-in of dirt and concrete.

The funds raised will go toward funeral expenses to give the family some peace as they navigate life after this sudden loss. Ledesma leaves behind a wife and a 16-year-old daughter.

They are attempting to raise $14,000 and have already reached $9,000.
