OWASSO, Okla. — The City of Owasso is letting residents know about a change to utility rates starting October 1.
They state that monthly rates for water, sewer, refuse, and stormwater services will increase by an average of 3%.
For households using 7,000 gallons of water per month with one trash cart, the annual increase will be $3.81 a month.
The City states the additional revenue will support water and sewer infrastructure projects, rising costs for material and labor, equipment, and increasing landfill and disposal fees.
“These adjustments help the City of Owasso continue providing reliable utility services while keeping up with the costs of maintaining and improving the systems our community relies on every day.” the City says in a social media post.
