MUSKOGEE, Okla. — A major expansion is in the works for a growing data center campus in Muskogee and it could make the site one of the largest AI data hubs in the region.
Core Scientific, a leader in designing, building and operating large-scale data centers, says it plans to expand its campus through the acquisition of Polar Technologies to help increase the leasable power capacity.
Construction is already underway on a second building at the Muskogee site, expected to be completed in 2027.
The company also bought around 250 acres of land for future growth.
“Our multi-tiered approach in Muskogee demonstrates how we can combine acquisitions, development expertise, and innovative power solutions to unlock gigawatt-scale capacity. As our second expansion applying this approach, we are demonstrating the scalability of our model while growing a strategically important campus to support a broad range of high-density compute deployments,” said Adam Sullivan, Chief Executive Officer of Core Scientific.
Port Muskogee said this project represents a generational opportunity for its workforce, economy and the future of the region as a leader in AI and digital infrastructure.
