MUSKOGEE, Okla. — The Muskogee Police Department says it has arrested a person in their investigation of vandalism of multiple businesses.
According to the report, officers responded to several businesses in the downtown area with vandalism reports overnight on Thursday. They stated a suspect was described as a black male wearing a dark jacket, a light colored t-shirt, gray pants, and having on one white shoe and one black shoe.
Friday morning, police responded to the 500 block of Denison Street to follow up on the investigation. Police encountered the suspect, who they say assaulted an officer and barricaded himself inside an apartment.
Officers were able to make entry with into the residence and took the suspect into custody.
We are choosing not to name the suspect at this time as he has not been officially charged.
