POLICE: 11-year-old arrested for pointing gel ball gun at officers

Tulsa police took an 11-year-old boy into custody Wednesday afternoon after a call at the Windsong Apartments near 31st and Mingo.

The call came in as a 12-year-old who was jumped by a group of children in ski masks trying to take his bicycle.

Officers arrived and got a description of the kids who confronted him, including their Orbeez guns.

The victim had several small welts from the attack but denied treatment.

Officers found a group of kids matching the suspects’ description in the nearby Taco Bueno parking lot.

Officers activated their lights and sirens, and an 11-year-old boy in the group pointed his Orbeez gun at the patrol car and followed the officer as he got out.

The 11-year-old was arrested and taken to the Community Intervention Center for Pointing a Dangerous Weapon, Obstruction and Possession of Tobacco by a Minor
