CLAREMORE, Okla. — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation arrested a man accused of making threats toward Governor Kevin Stitt and Attorney General Gentner Drummond.

In May, 52-year-old William Rasmussen contacted the Oklahoma State Banking Department (OSBD) regarding a complaint with a bank in Claremore, claiming money had been stolen from his account while he was incarcerated.

Rasmussen called OSBD several more times, most recently with the threats toward Gov. Stitt and AG Drummond.

It was found that Rasmussen had previously been arrested for threatening to destroy the Rogers County Courthouse, OSBI said.

On Wednesday, Rasmussen was arrested by OSBI special agents and officers with the Claremore Police Department after he was located at a motel in Claremore.

He was booked into the Rogers County Jail on charges of threatening to perform an act of violence and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.

OSBI said this remains an ongoing investigation.
