Man arrested, threatened to go out in “blaze of glory,” Tulsa Police say

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Police arrest a man who they say led them on a chase from 31st and Sheridan, all the way past Coweta.

Police say around 5:30 p.m. ont Thursday, Gavin Thorenson was causing a disturbance at the Bounty Lounge near 31st and Sheridan, refusing to show his I-D, refusing to leave, and then saying he was going to get a gun and go out “in a blaze of glory”.

They say he fled the scene in a Toyota Venza as police got there, and led them on a chase down the Broken Arrow Expressway to the Muskogee Turnpike and into a construction zone, where they say the Venza showed poor off-road capability, getting stuck between the road and a bridge embankment.
