TULSA, Okla. — The 8-year-old girl named Myra, who was critically injured last Wednesday in a house fire near Edison and Union in northwest Tulsa, has died, according to the girl’s aunt.
When firefighters rescued Myra from the burning house last Wednesday morning, they say she was not breathing initially, but they were able to stabilize her and transport her to a Tulsa hospital.
They say she was later airlifted to a hospital in Galveston that specializes in burn injuries.
That’s where she had apparently been until Monday, when her family says she passed away.
There’s still no word from TFD officials about the cause of the fire.
