Owasso City Councilors approve multiple agenda items Tuesday

OWASSO, Okla. — Owasso City Councilors approved multiple agenda items during Tuesday night’s City Council meeting.

The meeting was held at 6 p.m. at the Council Chambers Old Central Building. The City shared a list of items that were approved, which range from staffing to financial agreements.

Oath of Office for City Councilor Elect

The City said Ward 3 Owasso City Councilor Dr. Paul Loving was sworn in as the new Owasso Mayor.

Final Plat for Commercial Development

Owasso City Council approved an application for a final plat for MCD Owasso #0350474, which is a commercial development containing around 1.136 acres.

The development is located north of the northeast corner of East 86th Street North and North 145th East Avenue.

Engineering Services for Pavement Management

Owasso City Council approved an agreement for engineering services for the Pavement Management Program with Kimley-Horn and Associates of Tulsa in the amount of $420,000.

Engineering Services for Transportation Master Plan

An agreement was also approved for engineering services for the Transportation Master Plan Update with Kimley-Horn and Associates of Tulsa in the amount of $400,000.

Bids for Owasso Sports Park Renovation Project

Owasso City Council awarded a construction bid for the Drainage Project with Builder’s Unlimited of Broken Arrow in the amount of $1.2 million, funded through the Hotel Tax

Fire Department Vehicle Surplus and Disposal

Owasso City Council declared certain fire department vehicles as surplus to the needs of the City and authorized their disposal.

Open-End (Equity) Lease for Fleet Lease Vehicles

Owasso City Council and Owasso Public Works Authority (OPWA) approved an Open-End (Equity) Lease from Enterprise Fleet Management, Inc., of Clayton, Missouri, for fleet lease vehicles.

Small Business Enhancement Agreement for Assistance

OPWA approved a signage grant for Owasso Family Billiards through the Owasso Redbud District Project Plan, Tax Increment Financing District No. 1.

Bids Received for Waterline Replacement Project

OPWA awarded a construction bid for the Hale Acres CDBG Waterline Replacement Project, Phase III, with Creek Construction of Skiatook in the amount of $864,000.
