PAWNEE, Okla. — Some residents in Pawnee will be impacted by a scheduled water outage Tuesday morning as crews work on a new booster pump station project.
The City of Pawnee said the water outage is set for around 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Those affected include
- Residents that receive their water from the Twin Towers
- The 300 block of Elm and southward from 4th Street and East
The City said this temporary outage is a necessary part of the work to bring improvements to Pawnee’s water system, including a new booster pump station and new ground water storage tank, which are coming this summer.
If your home experiences a complete loss of water service, you will be under a voluntary precautionary 24-hour boil order once water service is restored out of an abundance of cation.
The Pawnee County Emergency Management water buffalo will be at City Hall with portable water if needed.
The City said it apologizes for any inconvenience the water outage may cause and it greatly appreciates patience as it continues making critical investments in Pawnee’s water infrastructure.
This is the last planned outage for the new booster pump construction and installation. There may be outages for upcoming construction of the new water storage tank later this summer.
