Tulsa Foundation for Architecture announces July lineup of tours and events

TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Foundation for Architecture (TFA) has shared its July programming lineup. From tours, to cocktail classes, to a pool party — there’s a little bit of something for everyone!

Beginning on July 11 at 9 a.m., TFA is hosting a tour of Booker T. Washington High School in north Tulsa.

The guided tour will showcase the newest building on the school’s campus, the auditorium, the library media center, and the swimming pool, alongside other parts of the campus. 

The tour will last from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. 

On July 18, TFA is giving a tour of the Tulsa Fire Alarm Building from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. 

Attendees will have the chance to learn about the history of the Tulsa Fire Alarm Building, which is considered an “Art Deco masterpiece.” 

The tour is guided and will highlight the building’s original purpose, its design, and more. 

On July 23, TFA and local restaurant The Vault will host a cocktail class featuring a lesson on Tulsa’s historic music venues. 

Held at The Vault Restaurant, guests will enjoy an evening of themed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres as they learn about the Big 10 Ballroom, Cimarron Ballroom, Cain’s Ballroom, and more. 

Lastly, on July 24 at 8 p.m., guests can enjoy a pool party hosted by TFA and The Lortondale Club. 

Admission allows for entrance into the members-only Lortondale Club Pool. Guests can swim and take in the midcentury modern architectural atmosphere. 

A cash bar featuring various cocktails, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks will be provided by Nothing’s Left Brewery.
