A Tulsa man attempted to evade police after he allegedly stole golf items from a car parked near downtown.
This past weekend, Tulsa Police Burglary Detectives were investigating a car burglary where the victim parked his vehicle near Cain’s Ballroom, and when he returned, two sets of golf clubs and three pairs of shoes were missing.
On Tuesday, the victim found his items for sale on Facebook Marketplace and set up a meeting with the seller. Officers said they arrived at the meeting, and 42-year-old Roderick Scallion was attempting to sell the items.
He drove off in a stolen Toyota Tacoma with the stolen items inside. Reports said Scallion exited the truck and ran away on foot but was tased by police and taken into custody. Scallion has also been linked to a theft at a sporting goods store, and police have video of the theft; he allegedly drove away in the stolen truck.
Scallion was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County Jail for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Possession of Stolen Property, Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, and Larceny.
