Tulsa Police announced that the woman who hit and killed a man in a wheelchair is now in custody.
This week, Tulsa Police issued an arrest warrant for 45-year-old Miranda Chase, who is accused of killing a man in a motorized wheelchair in a deadly hit-and-run.
TPD Captain Richard Meulenberg confirmed that she turned herself in to police today. Back on July 27, police say Chase struck 66-year-old Kenneth Young on East 36th Street North, then drove away without stopping. Police say evidence from the crash scene, along with information from Chase’s roommate and vehicle parts recovered from a relative’s home, linked her to the crash.
Chase now faces felony and misdemeanor charges, including leaving the scene of a fatal collision and destroying evidence.
