BIXBY, Okla. — UPDATE: The City of Bixby says that as of 3:30 p.m. Thursday, they had made good progress on correcting a problem with low water pressure in several neighborhoods.
Officials say workers discovered a valve configuration that was restricting water flow in the city’s main water line to portions of the community.
They say that once the correct valve was identified and adjusted, pressure checks showed normal water pressure had returned in several neighborhoods that had been experiencing low pressure.
They say crews with continue working on multiple leaks along a water main near Memorial just south of 126th Street.

Some areas in the City of Bixby are reportedly having problems with low water pressure.
Officials posted on the City’s Facebook page that Bixby’s Public Works team is out looking at multiple issues, including water line repairs and a significant leak on a main feeder line just outside Bixby.
They say the City of Tulsa is also helping them figure out the problem.
In the meantime, they’re asking people in Bixby to conserve water, if they can, to help reduce demand on the system.
The Bixby Fire Department says they’re aware of the problem and say they can still respond to calls safely and effectively.
