EDMOND, Okla. — Edmond shooting suspect Jaylan Davis turned himself in to authorities yesterday, but this isn’t his first run-in with the law.
Davis, who is 18 years old, has a criminal history that dates back to when he was a minor. According to court records, his crimes started when he was 16 years old.
In November of 2023, Davis was arrested for his involvement in a drive-by shooting as well as gang-related offenses, and possession of a firearm after juvenile adjudication. In July of 2024, Davis was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.
The charges were all dismissed, but he was then adjudicated as a minor for the crimes.
Davis is sitting in an Oklahoma City jail on a $1 Million bond. He is accused of opening fire at an Arcadia Lake party last Sunday, which resulted in 22 injuries and the death of 18-year-old Avianna Smith-Gray. Around 80 rounds were fired at the attendees, and there were reports of multiple shooters.
