BROKEN ARROW — A re-purposed building is now the logistics facility for Broken Arrow Fire, and it houses reserve ambulances, medical supplies, and life-saving equipment.
The BAPD opened its new Emergency Medical Services Logistics Building, located at 6th and Kenosha, and the building is a centralized facility designed to enhance efficiency, safety, and equipment readiness across the city.
The facility serves as the hub for EMS logistics, housing reserve ambulances, medical supplies, medications, and critical response equipment. EMS Major Tony McGill tells KRMG, “Logistic technicians, they were super excited to get a new facility, a new home. They’re able to get the equipment a little easier.”
It also supports a streamlined supply system, allowing crews to electronically request materials that are prepared and delivered directly to fire stations. They can also work on ambulances and repair equipment at the facility.
“It’s going to be a huge cost saving by being able to repair the equipment by ourselves,” McGill said.
Other BA fire departments can order medical supplies from the facility and have them delivered to their stations.
