TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department arrested a woman accused of leaving the scene of a crash at an apartment complex while under the influence.
Police said officers responded to a crash at the Sandy Park apartments near West 11th Place and South 61st West Avenue on Friday around 5:23 p.m.
Several children were out playing in the area as the driver of the vehicle started yelling and acting erratically.
Witnesses said the vehicle was traveling around 50 miles per hour in the complex and lost control when she hit the pavilion. When officers spoke to the driver, she showed several signs of being intoxicated.
Officers could see a vial of PCP in plain view through the driver’s car window. After searching the car, officers found a bag with several empty glass vials.
The driver took a field sobriety test and was later given a blood draw at the hospital. She was medically cleared and booked into the Tulsa County Jail.
