A copper caper with a canine lands two cohorts in the clink.
Tulsa Police tell KRMG that two men were arrested for attempting to steal copper from a park building. Police said earlier this week they responded to a call about someone using power tools behind a building at Henthorne Park, located near 48th and Quaker Ave.
Officers said they found 35-year-old Kenneth Burley and his dog, “Bing Bong,” behind the building, and another man, Keenan Cooper, inside the building. Reports said the men claimed to be working on the air-conditioning unit.
Officers said the two men were caught with common burglary tools, and they were attempting to steal copper. Burley and Cooper were both arrested and booked into the Tulsa County Jail for Intent to Steal Copper and Possession of Burglary Tools.
Bing Bong, the dog, was picked up by a friend.
